On Monday evening Jules, William and Max spoke superbly in front of the Council’s Cabinet (members of which provide strategic leadership in Canterbury City Council).
Jules started by highlighting the huge public backing we have for protecting and enhancing the Blean Woodland Complex, as evidenced by the 25,000+ signatures on our petition on Change.org.
William outlined how the Blean Biopark concept would support the University’s finances, and the Council’s existing key policies, and additionally provide a fantastic legacy for the Council as we move towards a system of unitary authorities.
Max spoke passionately as a younger member of our community on just how important our green space is for so many reasons!
Please take a look at them speaking in this video from around 3 minutes onwards.
